Kinky Curly Win!

My oldest son and I stopped at Target intending to get a loaf of bread.  My boys are allergic to peanut butter, but my oldest can inhale "cream cheese, no jelly" sandwhiches at an insane pace.  I'm sure someone is thinking why did that woman step foot into Target for that...of course she's going to walk out with more than a loaf of bread...and sure enough...

I decided to take a stroll down an isle or two and stumbled across a great steal deal! Last week Target had Shea Moisture products marked down, and what do you know, this week it's....

Kinky Curly Knot Today in store price $2.98         Online Target Price

Kinky Curly Come Clean in store price $2.98         Online Target Price

Kinky Curly Spiral Spritz in store price $5.98         Online Target price

Kinky Curly Curling Custard in store price $8.98    Online Target price

I've been relaxer free going on three years and did my BC in June of 2010.  And I have to confess.  My 4b curls have never had a taste of Kinky Curly anything.  I'm not sure why.  I've always read that these products work well with each other and I guess the initial out of pocket price always deterred me.  Needless to say, now that they have a home under my bathroom sink, I'll be trying them out in the near future.

Target...I love you.  Keep up the good work!

Purex for Lunch

My lunch hour yesterday consisted of picking up my oldest son from preschool, making a Harris Teeter run, and picking up lunch/dinner from our favorite Italian spot Bella Italia Pizzeria of Wake Forest. Yes, I can get a lot done in 45 minutes!

After retrieving my son I stopped at Harris Teeter to pick up some nail polish remover.  And what do you know...a clearance cart positioned at the door.  My $2 stop will now probably turn into a $15 one.  Today's deal is Purex Naturals for $3.00...should I or shouldn't I.  My family is sensitive to scents, but considering this is the natural line and my initial in store whiff wasn't overpowering, I'll give it at try.

Last stop Bella Italia for their shrimp alfredo.  It's a must to call in my order ahead of time considering they're always packed during lunch and my time is limited.  In my opinion their NY style pizza is the best around and the pasta dishes are great.  I'll eat a bit for lunch and my husband will finish the rest off when he gets home.

Argan Oil & Raw Shea Butter Soap...The Verdict

I love Shea Moisture products...ALL of them! Hair products, lotions, and soaps.  I was able to stock up when Walgreens had their recent 15% off sale.  Combined with free shipping what more could a girl ask for!

The Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus body wash and lotion is a staple in my beauty arsenal.  For my boys, I love the Organic Lavender Wild Orchid body wash and lotion for bedtime; smells so yummy!

Today I decided to try my bar of Argan Oil & Raw Shea Butter Soap.  The VERDICT...

The texture is very smooth.  As soon as I removed the wrapper I new I was going to get an excellent lather.

The lather was great...no complaints whatsover.

The smell is very faint.  Very good for people who are scent sensitive, or if you have your own scent you want to wear.

Is this going to be a necessity in my beauty arsenal no...however I don't have anything bad to say about it.
